I have interpreted this portrait as a Regency heroine. She could be Fanny Price from a Jane Austen Novel from Mansfield Park. She struggles with intense feelings of guilt thanks to her vicious aunt Mrs Norris who verbally abuses her, and learns to stand up for herself by contemplating, writing, and quietly rebelling, determined to stay true to herself.
Capture the essence of the Regency era with this exquisite portrait of a spirited young woman. This limited edition fine art photography beautifully embodies the grace and elegance of the time, making it a perfect addition to any art collection.
With its delicate details and soft colours, this feminine art print brings a touch of romanticism to any space. The intricate styling and make it an ideal centre piece for any room or as part of a curated art wall.
This stunning piece is part of a limited edition series, ensuring its exclusivity and value. Each print is meticulously crafted using museum quality paper to preserve the beauty of the image. Display this captivating artwork in your home or office and bring a touch of sophistication and history to your surroundings.
This project is part of Women in Quiet Rebellion. This project aims to give a voice to women that didn't have one throughout history, connecting the dots and inviting them in a scene that reflects their oppression and the ways they had to learn to rebel "quietly" from the place that society gave them, accepting their lot, feeling under pressure to conform. Their only form of escapism was to rebel inside, moving things slowly like a butterfly's wings, creating a snowballing effect across history. This project reflects the story of all these women who could not use their voices. I’ve found my inner self profoundly resonating with the paintings of Artemisia Gentileschi, not that I've endured similar oppression. Still, since childhood, this desire to be a free and independent woman was always rooted in me. My idea with this project is to continue rustling feathers, building up the quiet rebellion and bringing out that powerful voice I have tamed for so long!
