The Joyful Journey

This fine art photography project, called the Joyful Journey, combines Rachel’s love of portraits and of exploring places. In this series, she uses major European cities as a backdrop for an exploration of resilience and transformation, inviting viewers to embark on a journey of courage and bravery. 
Travelling to new places is often associated with an escape and a change from the day-to-day routine. What if it could also mean a new beginning with a clean slate from the past? 
This collection celebrates starting anew, breaking free from everyday routines and rediscovering freedom and independence, moving towards our true selves. Through visual storytelling, the series invites you to embrace change and empowers you to choose your path and align yourself with who you are. Each artwork in this series features a different European city: Paris, Florence, Strasbourg, Venice, Amsterdam, London, Prague, Berlin, San Sebastián—highlighting the unique opportunity each destination offers.
