Even if their voices don't count yet, they are not afraid to express their feelings about their future. Somehow it will not be enough, as society is not ready to make space for women, but some will manage to break through the will of their families and create a life for themselves. In this portrait, our heroine has a poised stance but stands bold and strong. She is one of my favourite silent heroines; you can sense her determination. What do you think?

This image is part of Women in Quiet Rebellion, giving a voice to the women throughout history who could not use their own. It shows how they rebelled against their limited societal place, learning to move slowly and quietly, like a butterfly, creating a snowball effect with their inner strength. As every print is made-to-order to your chosen specifications, we are unable to accept any returns or exchanges. In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, please message us with photos of the print/frame and packaging within five days of delivery and we can assist with a free replacement. Please note, we cannot guarantee a free replacement should you report damage outside of this timeframe or do not supply the required photos.

How do I care for my print?

  • Don’t hang your print in direct sunlight.
  • Prints can dent easily when handled, especially larger size prints, so take it directly to the framer.
  • Use only archive grade tapes and glues for mounting & framing.
  • Handle your print as little as possible and with care. Ideally wear special gloves.
  • Prints sent in tubes should be taken out and framed as soon as possible.
  • Avoid touching the print surface
  • Don’t store prints in humid or damp places.
  • Never allow liquids of any kind to come in contact with a print.
  • Only acid-free, archival materials should come in contact with the front/back of the print
  • Never allow prints to rub against one another in transit or storage. Always use archival plastic sleeves or acid-free tissue paper between prints
  • Use acid-free matt boards and UV glass or plexiglass for longevity. Framing under glass or acrylic provides the greatest protection against UV-induced fading.

All products are made-to-order. Please allow 3-5 days for us to prepare your order and up to 15 business days for delivery. Your order will be shipped from one of our printing partners across the world, depending on your location.
